Services for Current and Potential Pet Partners
I. PET PARTNERS® HANDLER TRAINING COURSE
This course is taught by a Pet Partners (Delta)-licensed Instructor. The 16-hour training will teach you how to safely and effectively visit with your pet(s) in assisted-living centers, hospitals, schools, treatment centers and other facilities. This training is for you - your pet will not accompany you. You need training for yourself as the handler. It is essential for you to know what you're doing. If you don't know how to interact with various clients effectively and how to keep your animal safe in all visit situations, you and your animal are vulnerable and present a risk to yourselves and those you are visiting. The Pet Partners Handler Training course provides excellent information. Fee: $200.00 which includes the course, the Pet Partners Team Evaluation (described next), all course materials, and matching you with an experienced Pet Partner team as part of our Buddy Program.
