***Please read this entire email. Scheduling link at bottom of page.
Denver Pet Partners is pairing again with United Airlines to create a stress-free flyer program for their customers and employees during peak travel season. Denver Pet Partners will be sponsoring this event. A DPP-sponsored event is very important to us. The safety of our teams if our number one priority and that is why I will be onsite every day. Your role is to be the primary source of heartwarming support and comfort to travelers and employees of United. To also spread the word of AAI.
DPP will be guaranteed $2,000 donation and for every hashtag during the course of the event. We will also receive $1.00 up to $1,000. That gives us the opportunity to receive $3,000.
United Paws at DIA is known as a fun event. It is the most complex event we have on the calendar. You do not need to be a complex team but please read the below.
What is the definition of a complex environment?
*consisting of many different and connected parts.
*not easy to analyze or understand
*complicated or intricate a group or system of different things that are linked in a close or complicated way
I want you to consider all of this before you make your decision. You will park in valet and be reimbursed for parking. You will set out to our designated meeting spot. You will go through hundreds of people pulling and carrying luggage. Most people will want to talk to you and your wonderful dog. You will need to go up the stairs or elevator (never escalator) and many obstacles are moving through DIA. Remember the type of floor at DIA is a slippery surface and carpet. Once we all get-together, we proceed through security. It is a tight space and a lot of people. Just like you, your dog has to go through the scanner and has to have a “pat down”. Once we get our shoes back on it is off to the train. The train is scary to the dogs, the movement is very different than a car. One more elevator to the upstairs conference room. You may leave all belongs in the conference room. From the valet to the conference room, your dog has been through many things that they have never seen, heard, felt or smelled. There is no way to prepare your dog for this type of environment. Once your shift is over, we have to do this all in reverse.
Of course, I am not trying to talk you out of signing up. I will leave the decision up to you. But really think about your teammate. Once you arrive at the meeting spot and come to realization your dog is not comfortable, it is fine to leave. If you need to potty your dog during the middle of your shift, it is ok to leave. The “potty area” is quite a distance. So we ask you potty dogs before you arrive.
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday there are 3 shifts. You will always arrive 30 minutes before your shift. It takes about 30 minutes to arrive at the concourse. You should be back where we started when you shift is finished. Please do not ask to come late or leave early. There are 10 spots to come with your dog. Then there are 1-2 spots without a dog. These are great if you want to come and know your dog would not enjoy it. I need a lot of help and it is a lot of fun. I really appreciate the help!!
Shift one: 9-11 (Arrive at DIA at 8:30)
Shift two: 12-2 (Arrive at DIA 11:30)
Shift three: 3-5 (Arrive at DIA 2:30
