The following table summarizes the steps to becoming a Pet Partners registered therapy animal/handler team and contains links to more information. Pet Partners requires that you be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (see policy).

2 | Register and complete Pet Partners Therapy Animal Handler Course (in-person or online), which prepares you to volunteer effectively with your animal. To register for the in-person Therapy Animal Handler Course Click Here. The on-line Therapy Animal Handler Course is only available through the Pet Partner website at this page. | Yes | In-Person - $50 payable to Denver Pet Partners. (The normal fee is $75 but, for a limited time, DPP is able to offer a discounted rate of $50.) |

5 | Join Denver Pet Partners (DPP). When you join DPP, your registration with Pet Partners is discounted. This discount more than pays for your annual membership with DPP. DPP will provide support to you at a local level, helping you find the best place for you to volunteer.
